There's nothing like a wedding!
The joy, the fun, the memories—the stress. As a wedding planner, Anne Richardson has seen mothers of the bride turn into Momzillas, and she's determined not to do that when it's her daughter's turn to get married. But once Laney gets engaged, all bets are off. Anne becomes obsessed with giving Laney the perfect wedding she herself never had. And that wedding needs to be held in Icicle Falls at Primrose Haus, the perfect setting.
Roberta Gilbert, owner of Primrose Haus, has been hosting events at her charming Victorian for thirty years. She's an expert on weddings, but not on mother-daughter relations. When her daughter, Daphne, comes home and decides to help with the business, the receptions become truly memorable—and not in a good way. Then there's the added complication of Roberta's gardener, who seems more interested in Daphne than he is in planting primroses...
Tying the knot is a business that has everyone tied up in knots!

Marriages are a matter of business for wedding planner Anne Richardson and wedding venue owner Roberta Gilbert, but when Anne's daughter, Laney, decides to wed, things get personal, as Anne sets out to make sure Laney has the wedding she wants. But is it really Laney's wedding she's planning? Multiple viewpoints provide insight as four women at different life stages resolve a few issues and come into their own as romance--old, new, and unplanned--blooms. Recipes, wedding tips, and cameos of past weddings will please series fans. VERDICT Sweet, affecting, and emotionally charged, this multithreaded story highlights the complex relationships between mothers and daughters, and while more women's fiction than pure romance, this is sure to appeal to fans of both genres. Roberts (The Lodge on Holly Road) lives in the Pacific Northwest.

Anne Richardson loves weddings. Helping a happy couple celebrate their special day is what makes her job as a wedding planner such fun. So when her daughter, Laney, announces her engagement, Anne is determined that Laney will have the ideal wedding. As far as Anne is concerned, this means any thoughts Laney may have of a tacky Las Vegas, zombie-themed ceremony are definitely out, and a picture-perfect wedding held at Primrose Haus in Icicle Falls is in. As the owner of Primrose Haus, Roberta Gilbert has coordinated more than her share of wedding days, and she is positive she can deliver exactly the kind of wedding experience Anne wants for her daughter. Of course. that's before Roberta's daughter, Daphne, unexpectedly turns up in Icicle Falls hinting that there is nothing she wants more than to start working for dear old mom. A cast of endearing characters, a warmly humorous look at the myriad forms mother-daughter relationships can take, and a delightful, small-town setting come together enchantingly in Roberts' (The Lodge on Holly Road, 2014) latest sweetly engaging novel.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2015, American Library Association.)
